Money Transfers: Domestic & International
You can send money through Konecta’s partner remittance services. Provide recipient’s details to Konecta’s staff and select your preferred payment method.
Delivery time depends on the destination itself and the selected remittance service. It can take an instant or a few business days. Konecta’s professional agents will provide you with an estimated time.
Provide the recipient’s full name, country, identification number, phone number and the amount to be sent.
Security is Konecta’s priority. The information you provide must be accurate, as it is entered directly into the system. Additionally, each remittance service has its own security protocols to ensure transaction protection.
Konecta recommends using cash, as it’s the most convenient option. Konecta accepts debit and credit cards as well; however, due to terminal charges, these carry an additional surcharge of 4% plus a fixed fee of $4.00.
Yes, you can track the status of your transfer at any time.

Yes, there are limits. However, if you can provide documentation supporting the source of your income, the system may allow you to send higher amounts.
Check Cashing
Konecta accepts payroll checks, business checks and Money Orders, as long as Konecta can verify the necessary information. Please Note: Konecta does not cash personal checks.
Present a valid photo ID and phone number. For higher amounts, provide two types of ID: Social Security number, and additional verification may be required before cashing.
The applicable fees are:
- 1.50%amounts between $1 and $999.99
- 2% amounts between $1,000 and $1,499.99
- 2.21% amounts between $1,500 and $2,499.99
- 3% amounts of $2,500 or more
Konecta service hours are: Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Document Translation
Konecta translates personal, legal, medical, business, academic and more.
Konecta provides translations in Spanish and English.
Translation time varies depending on the complexity and length of the document. Standard translations usually are completed within a few business days.
Yes, Konecta offers certified translations that can be used for legal and official procedures.
Money Orders
To send your money order, visit Konecta’s offices in Hightstown or East Windsor. Be prepared to provide details for the recipient such as name, address, identification document and exact amount of money you are sending. It’s important for the customer to specify the destination of the money order, as it is usually used for payments.
A money order is a physical and secure way to send money without the need of a bank account, while a bank transfer is done electronically between bank accounts.
There is no set maximum amount. However, for amounts over $3,000.00, additional information is required, such as purpose of the money order, Social Security number and official identification.
Utility Bill Payments
You can pay utility bills such as water, electricity, gas, phone, internet and more.
Konecta doesn’t charge additional fees. The system fee of $2.50 is the only fee.
Notary Public
Konecta provides a wide range of notary services, from document certification to assistance with citizenship procedures.
No appointment. Visit Konecta’s offices during
Notary Public hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Present a valid ID and the document to be notarized. Depending on the type of notarization, additional documents may be required.
International Mobile Top-Ups
Konecta offers mobile top-ups Worldwide, to all countries!
Provide the phone number, country and the amount to be recharged. Konecta ensures your top-up is successful.
Top-ups are usually processed instantly. If not confirmed immediately, there may be an issue.
Passport Photos
Yes, Konecta takes passport photos with all required specifications.
Yes, Konecta adjusts the photos to meet the standards required by each country.
No appointment necessary! Konecta offers this service any time during business hours.
Konecta also provides ID’s permitted by the State of New Jersey, which are now accepted at banks as a second form of identification.
